We are currently seeking experienced Oral & Maxillofacial Consultants to support weekend insourcing lists in Southampton, contributing to NHS waiting list recovery initiatives. These sessions offer the opportunity to work within a well-supported, patient-focused environment across a variety of services, including:

• Outpatient clinics
• Minor oral and head & neck surgical procedures
• Extractions

This is an excellent opportunity to supplement your practice with flexible weekend work while collaborating with experienced multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

Assess and manage patients from NHS waiting

lists Interpret diagnostic investigations and clinical findings

Deliver high-quality care within a multidisciplinary team setting

Provide clinical leadership and, where appropriate, supervision to junior colleagues

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including clear follow-up plans aligned with Trust pathways

Requirements

• Full GMC registration with Specialist Register accreditation in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
• Current Licence to Practise
• Demonstrable experience working as an Oral & Maxillofacial Consultant within the NHS
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
