Teaching Assistant – Additional Learning Needs (ALN Unit) Swansea Starting September 2026 - July 2027 Full-Time | Monday – Friday | Term Time Only £92.63 per day Are you passionate about supporting children who need it most? We are recruiting a full-time Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist Additional Learning Needs (ALN) unit in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Swansea. ⏰ Interviews are already underway – apply now to be considered! ---------------------------------------- About the School This is a school that prides itself on: ✨ Inclusivity and nurturing every child’s potential ✨ Creating a safe, supportive and structured environment ✨ Celebrating small wins that lead to big progress ✨ Strong teamwork between staff to support every learner ---------------------------------------- The Role You will be supporting children with a range of additional needs, including: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Non-verbal communication needs Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) ⚡ ADHD Your day-to-day could include: Working 1:1 or in small groups to support learning and development ️ Using alternative communication strategies (e.g. visuals, gestures, PEC Cards) Helping children regulate emotions and build positive routines Supporting structured play and sensory activities Collaborating closely with teachers and specialist staff No two days are ever the same – but every day is meaningful ---------------------------------------- Who would suit this role? You don’t need direct classroom experience – transferable skills matter most!
