Production Planner

The successful candidate will create executable production plans that consider capacity, material availability and customer delivery requirements, while also supporting continuous improvement across planning processes. Key Responsibilities: Prioritise materials and issues across Goods In, Stores, Dispatch, Purchasing and Engineering Liaise with Purchasing to confirm material availability and quality of supply Control material traceability throughout the shop floor Raise, manage and close Works Orders in line with MRP Review and action MRP exception messages Work closely with Operations to support sales forecasting and site planning Maintain MRP parameters in line with company policies Communicate proactively with Customer Services regarding updates, issues and resolutions Work within a cross-functional team to meet customer and delivery targets Support regulated manufacturing traceability requirements, such as aerospace or medical manufacturingKey Skills & Experience Required: Previous experience in a production planning, materials planning, manufacturing planning or supply chain planning role Strong working knowledge of MRP / ERP systems Experience raising, managing and closing Works Orders Good understanding of material availability, WIP, inventory control and production schedules Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Purchasing, Engineering, Stores and Customer Services Strong communication and problem-solving skills Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment would be highly beneficialKey Performance Areas: Works Order actions and MRP adherence Inventory reduction and WIP / obsolescence control Customer on-time delivery Sales and operational support metricsThis is an excellent opportunity for a Planner looking to join a well-established manufacturing environment where they can have a direct impact on production performance, material flow and customer delivery.
