Salary: £40,000 - £55,000
Permanent
London - Hybrid
About the company
Since 2014, Social Value Portal has helped organisations across the public, private and voluntary sectors measure and maximise their Social Value, using its evidence-based TOM System, a consultancy arm and a growing learning academy.
Customers have unlocked over £74bn of Social Value through the platform, and the business is now scaling that reach internationally.
The role
Social Value Portal runs an AI-driven system across the top of its sales funnel: researching and qualifying prospects, running outbound sequences, and triaging inbound interest.
You'll run that system day to day and personally manage every inbound marketing-qualified lead from first contact to handover, reporting to the Sales Director and working closely with Marketing and the Business Development team, whose feedback on lead quality keeps the system on track.
Key responsibilities
You'll:
Monitor the automated workflows that research, enrich and reach out to prospects, tracking conversion through to SQL
Run the AI agents sending outbound sequences across email and LinkedIn, correcting drift in tone
Own every inbound marketing-qualified lead, qualifying each one before handover to the right BDM
Review AI-generated messages before and after send to catch quality and compliance issues
Keep CRM data clean, report on response rates and conversion, and act as the escalation point on lead or message quality
What you'll bring
Essential:
Hands-on experience managing an inbound or outbound sales function (SDR, MDR, sales ops or similar), confident in a CRM and sales-engagement tooling
A close eye for quality: able to judge an AI-generated message's tone, targeting and compliance quickly
A clear grasp of outbound email deliverability: domain warming, sender reputation, list hygiene
Working understanding of UK PECR and GDPR for B2B marketing outreach, or the ability to get up to speed fast
A track record of using performance data to improve how something runs
Useful, not essential:
Direct experience with AI-driven sales tooling, such as an AI SDR platform or LLM-based lead qualification
Familiarity with call-intelligence or intent/signal platforms (e.g. Gong, Common Room, UserGems)
Comfortable with spreadsheets and simple reporting, plus automation tools such as Clay, n8n or Zapier
Benefits & culture
Financial: Salary sacrifice schemes (childcare, cycling/EV), retail discounts across 200+ brands, and financial advice through Mintago.
Flexibility: Your birthday off, plus extra holiday after three years' service.
Development: Access to The Knowledge Academy for accredited training.
Wellbeing: 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme, enhanced parental leave, and six paid volunteering days a year.
Working arrangements
Full-time, Monday to Friday. xwzovoh
