Knowledge & Key Skills Proficiency in a range of software including excel. Good financial acumen, commercially aware, numerate with ability to prepare quotes. An excellent telephone manner. Excellent writing skills with the competence to quickly compose emails to a wide range of business customers. Initiative to solve problems and deal with complaints in a positive and diplomatic manner. Ability to efficiently work on multiple tasks at any one time Must Have’s * Previous customer service experience * Strong administrative and organisational skills * Be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to business situations that deliver a high customer service level and support business strategies Desirables * Use of Sage/ Phocas/Word/Excel * Export/ customs experience Key Activities & Responsibilities * Handling all incoming customer queries and questions * Providing the appropriate service and information or referring clients to another department * Resolving customer complaints and issuing refunds/ collections as needed * Resolving highly technical problems and arranging product replacements for customers * Maintaining an accurate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database by entering and updating client information * Providing quotations and checking product availability * Handling payment transactions * Process orders received via phone, email or web * Wide range of general admin including, but not limited to; setting up new accounts, responding to web enquiries, filing, updating portals and sending tracking information * Follow up and chase customer quotes * Passing leads on to the sales team * Support with the launch of marketing campaigns by pro-actively discussing with customers
