We collaborate as cross functional agile teams and have core capabilities in experience, development & test, analysis and agile delivery management.About the roleThe Senior Technical Lead is a key role at UCL which ensures the continual build of sustainable internal capability, which delivers high-quality enterprise-scale data services. This role also directly enables UCL's Data Strategy, democratisation of data, AI innovation, and compliance with regulatory requirements including HESA, UKVI, TEF, OfS and financial reporting.You will be required to provide advanced technical leadership for architecting, building and scaling UCL’s Internet of Things (IoT) platform. This includes modern software and platform engineering, streaming and distributed data processing and above all, a keen sense of internet and web standards to enable interoperability and scalability of UCL's IoT capability.About youYou must have a strong background in software engineering and be comfortable and confident leading small teams of engineers, ultimately owning and improving the software development lifecycle.
