HR & Payroll Administrator

Full-time | Permanent | 39 Hours per Week | £28,500 - £30,000 per annum
Are you an experienced HR and Payroll Administrator looking for a varied role within a professional and supportive business environment?Pertemps are recruiting for an
HR & Payroll Administrator
to provide accurate and efficient payroll and HR administrative support. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining employee records, processing payroll information, and supporting HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle.
The Role Working as an HR & Payroll Administrator, you will provide accurate and timely payroll and HR administrative support, ensuring employee data, payroll information and HR documentation are maintained in line with company procedures and statutory requirements.This role is focused on administration and processing activities and does not involve providing HR policy, employee relations or people management advice.
Key Responsibilities
Process monthly payroll inputs, including starters, leavers, pay changes, overtime, absences and expenses
Liaise with the payroll bureau to resolve payroll queries and meet payroll deadlines
Administer SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP, P45s, P60s and pension auto-enrolment processes
Maintain accurate employee records and HR system data
Manage new starter and leaver administration, including right-to-work checks, references and contracts
Produce standard employment documentation and routine HR/payroll reports
Maintain absence, holiday, training and certification records
Ensure all employee information is handled in line with GDPR and company policies
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience within a payroll and/or HR administration role
Good understanding of payroll processes and statutory payroll requirements
Experience using HR/payroll systems such as Sage, iTrent, BrightHR or similar
Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
Knowledge of right-to-work checks and HR administration procedures
GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage deadlines effectively
