Architectural Metalwork Designer (Advance Steel Specialist) A growing UK steelwork company is seeking an experienced Architectural Metalwork Designer / Structural Steel Detailer with strong expertise in Autodesk Advance Steel. This is an excellent opportunity to work across architectural steelwork, structural steelwork, and façade design projects, delivering high-quality detailing from concept through to fabrication and installation. Key Responsibilities * Produce detailed 3D models using Autodesk Advance Steel for architectural metalwork and structural steelwork projects * Create accurate 2D fabrication drawings for manufacture and site installation * Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings for steel structures and architectural components * Generate fabrication drawings, cutting lists, material schedules, and BOMs * Interpret architectural drawings and structural engineer information and convert into fabrication-ready models * Work closely with project managers, structural engineers, fabricators, and site teams * Support delivery of steelwork detailing, coordination, and design development * Resolve technical detailing queries, design issues, and coordination clashes during project delivery * Ensure all outputs meet fabrication standards, accuracy requirements, and project specifications * Manage workload effectively to meet project deadlines and programme requirements Requirements * Minimum 3+ years’ experience using Autodesk Advance Steel * Strong background in architectural metalwork design and structural steel detailing * Proven experience producing fabrication drawings and 3D steel models * Good understanding of steel fabrication and construction processes * Ability to interpret architectural and structural engineering drawings * Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team * High attention to detail and strong organisational skills * Ability to commute to on-site office location (in-person role) Preferred Experience * Experience in façade design and building envelope systems * Experience working on structural steelwork and architectural steel packages Working Hours & Benefits * Full-time position – 40 hours per week * Casual dress code * On-site parking * Opportunity to join a growing steelwork company working on diverse architectural and structural projects If you are an experienced Steel Detailer / Architectural Metalwork Designer with strong Autodesk Advance Steel skills, we would like to hear from you
