• Effectively manage, develop and motivate a team of employees within a specialist area of the Council in order to deliver and continuously develop a high-quality service.
• Work in line with HR policy to ensure good employment and wellbeing practices are embedded in day-to-day operations including effective succession and workforce planning.
• Take responsibility for the management and effective use of relevant financial and physical resources within your service area.
• Communicate, influence and advise senior managers and elected members.
• Build and maintain successful relationships with relevant stakeholders and partnerships.
• Oversee the development, monitoring and review of policy and practice relevant to your service area.
• Improve team and service performance by identifying and implementing people, system and process developments.
• Maximise your expertise and entrepreneurial approach to enable innovation and change within and across service areas and ensure your team embrace new ways of working.<...
