This role sits within a specialist Business Risk & Controls team responsible for strengthening the organisation's operational resilience framework, business continuity capabilities, and crisis management preparedness.You will play a key role in ensuring critical business services remain resilient in the face of disruption, working closely with stakeholders across operations, technology, risk, information security, third-party risk, and business functions.This position offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders, regulatory initiatives, resilience testing programmes, and strategic risk management activities.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the identification and assessment of Important Business Services (IBS) and Impact Tolerances Coordinate Business Impact Analyses (BIAs), risk assessments, and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) reviews across business unitsAssist with operational resilience scenario testing, assurance activities, and crisis management exercisesPartner with teams across Information Security, Technology Risk, Third-Party Risk Management, HR, Facilities, and Data Privacy to strengthen dependency mapping and resilience controlsMonitor resilience metrics and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) against the firm's risk appetite frameworkContribute to Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) and integrate lessons learned from testing and incidentsSupport the ongoing enhancement of operational resilience, business continuity, and governance frameworksPrepare management information, executive reporting packs, governance committee materials, and regulatory submissionsProduce post-incident reviews and resilience testing reports, identifying remediation actions and improvement opportunitiesPromote a strong risk and resilience culture across the organisationWe're looking for individuals who can demonstrate:Experience within Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Operational Risk, or Non-Financial Risk in a regulated financial services environmentStrong knowledge of UK Operational Resilience regulatory requirements, including FCA, PRA and Bank of England expectationsExperience facilitating or supporting IBS, ITOL, BIA and dependency mapping activitiesExposure to technology risk, information security, third-party risk management, or operational risk frameworksUnderstanding of resilience testing, scenario analysis, controls assurance, and governance processesExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levelsStrong analytical capabilities and report-writing skillsDegree-level education or equivalent professional experienceDesirableExperience with DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act)Knowledge of ISO 22301 or recognised Business Continuity standardsWhat's on Offer?Opportunity to join a well-established and growing financial institutionHigh-profile role with exposure to senior leadership and regulatory initiativesInvolvement in strategic resilience transformation programmesCollaborative and supportive working environmentExcellent career development and progression opportunitiesCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefits packageIf you're passionate about operational resilience, risk management, and strengthening organisational preparedness within a regulated financial services environment, we'd love to hear from you.
