The Role

You will join a busy preconstruction team working on a mix of new build, refurbishment, alteration and fit‑out projects up to 20m. Work spans multiple sectors, including Education, Healthcare, Community, Industrial, Leisure & Retail and Commercial Buildings. Working hours: 8.30am – 5pm with 1 hour for lunch.

A key part of the role will include mentoring and supporting an Assistant Estimator , helping them develop their technical skills, commercial awareness and confidence within the team.

Responsibilities

• Preparing cost plans, tenders and estimates
• Leading the estimating process across multiple projects
• Working closely with design, commercial and operational teams
• Liaising with supply chain partners to secure competitive pricing
• Providing guidance and day‑to‑day support to an Assistant Estimator
• Supporting junior team members where required

About You

• Experienced Estimator within the construction industry
• Background working for a main contractor on new build or refurbishment schemes
• Self‑directed, organised and highly motivated
• Able to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
• Strong team player with good communication skills
