Youve put the work in to get your automotive qualification. Now its time to put those skills into practice.
At The AA, were looking for the next generation of automotive talent to join our Trainee Mobile Mechanic Programme .
This isnt a role where we expect you to arrive knowing everything. Its a structured development programme designed for people at the start of their automotive career. Well give you the training, support and hands-on experience you need to develop your career as an AA Mobile Mechanic
Whats in it for you?- 28,000 starting salary , with pay increases as you develop your skills and successfully complete programme milestones

From day one,youllbe learning from experienced people who know the job inside out.
Youllstart with onboarding, technical training,mentoringand shadowing before gradually taking on more responsibility as your skills and confidence grow.Youllgain practical experience working on customers vehicles, developing your skills in areas such as servicing, inspections and faultfinding.Depending on your location and development pathway, you may also build roadsideassistanceskills as you progress through the programme.
As you become more confident anddemonstrateyour competence,youllprogress through the programme and start working more independently.
What are we looking for?Youdontneed years of experience in a garage. In fact,previousfull-time automotive experienceisntessential .
Weremuch more interested in your potential,attitudeand enthusiasm.
Youllneed:
- ALevel 2 or Level 3 automotive qualification
- Afull UK driving licence
- A genuine interest in cars and the automotive industry
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to learn
- Good problem-solving skills
- The confidence to talk to and help customers
- Resilience,reliabilityand a positive attitude
- The motivation to build a long-term career
