Mechanical Engineer

Location: Dungannon

We’re looking for a proactive Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team and keep our production lines running at their best. You’ll work independently, solve complex mechanical issues, and support continuous improvement across a fast‑paced food manufacturing site.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver hands‑on welding, fabrication, and mechanical repairs
• Work with mechanical drive systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and complete key documentation
• Diagnose faults and re‑engineer equipment to improve performance
• Provide technical support and advice to production teams

Essential

• Time/skill‑served Mechanical Engineer with industrial experience
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a mechanical discipline
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving ability
• Experience in welding, fabrication, and mechanical drive systems
• Confident decision‑making and good reasoning skills

Desirable

• Food or poultry processing experience
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Strong communication, organisation, and initiative
