Carpentry Multi Trader – Social Housing Repairs & Maintenance Location: Oldbury Job Type: Full-Time | Temporary to Permanent Opportunities Available Salary: £34,000 + Company Van & Fuel Card Our client, a leading contractor within the social housing sector, is seeking an experienced Carpentry Multi Trader to join their responsive repairs and maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled carpenter with strong multi-trade experience who takes pride in delivering high-quality repairs and exceptional customer service within occupied and void social housing properties. Key Responsibilities Carrying out day-to-day responsive repairs and planned maintenance works Working across occupied and void social housing properties Completing a range of carpentry and associated maintenance tasks including: Door hanging and repairs Lock changes and repairs Kitchen unit repairs and replacements Skirting boards, architraves, and internal joinery Flooring and fencing repairs General first and second fix carpentry Undertaking additional multi-trade works such as: Basic plumbing repairs Patch plastering Tiling repairs Painting and decorating touch-ups General property maintenance Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently to a high standard Ensuring works are completed within agreed timescales Delivering excellent customer service when working in tenants' homes Accurately completing job sheets and updating works via PDA/tablet systems Maintaining health and safety standards at all times Requirements Proven experience as a Carpenter/Multi Trader within social housing, repairs, or maintenance Strong carpentry background with excellent all-round maintenance skills Experience working within occupied properties Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively Excellent communication and customer service skills Full UK driving licence Own tools (preferred unless otherwise supplied) Desirable NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry or equivalent qualification Experience using PDA systems for job management Previous social housing or local authority contractor experience What's on Offer Competitive salary of £34,000 Company van and fuel card Ongoing work with established social housing contracts Opportunity for permanent employment Supportive team environment and long-term career prospects If you are an experienced Carpentry Multi Trader looking for your next opportunity within the social housing sector, we would love to hear from you
