Senior Front End Engineer

My client is seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer with strong expertise in React to join their collaborative engineering team. You'll play a key role in designing and building scalable, performant interfaces that delight users and support the company's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimise, and maintain high-quality front-end features using React, TypeScript, and modern web tooling.
• Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver elegant, user-focused solutions.
• Lead discussions on front-end architecture, performance optimisation, and best practices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement across the team.
• Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and advocate for their practical adoption where valuable.

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in front-end development, with a strong focus on React.
• Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3/SASS.
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and working within modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong appreciation for responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with performance profiling and debugging complex UI applications.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a problem-solving mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Next.js or other SSR frameworks.
• Knowledge of design systems and component libraries (e.g. Storybook).
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
