With over 60 years of experience in highly regulated sectors, the group supports public and industrial stakeholders in the execution of complex and strategic infrastructure projects, subject to high safety and security requirements. Assystem mobilizes 8,000 experts in 13 countries and intervenes across the entire project lifecycle, in engineering, project management and digital solutions.Job DescriptionTo work in the Silos MSSS SEP1&2 CE&I design team, leading a team of Programmable Electronic System (PES) based Control System Design Engineers delivering, supporting others delivering and checking designs/updates to meet functional and business needs.The procurement, integration, installation and commissioning of the designs/updates is undertaken by others, hence is outside the scope of this role.ð Able to:ð Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a range of persons/teamsð Contribute to the development of programmes and estimates to support project/task planningð Prioritise and assign workð Understand, review and challenge control system requirementsð Deliver to challenging targetsð Report on design progressð¡️ Contribute to design assurance tactics and reviewsð Provide design support during Procurement/System Integrationð§ Provide design support during Installationð Provide design support during CommissioningQualificationsð Essential - ð Academic Qualification: HNCð‍ð§ Professional Qualification: Incorporated Engineerð Security Clearance: SCð Desirable - ð Academic Qualification: BEngð Professional Qualification: Chartered Engineerð¼ Experience: Minimum 7 years successfully delivering a PES-based Control System Lead Design Engineer role on SL multidisciplinary projects, from concept design through to handover, with a working understanding of the appropriate external and SL Engineering Standardsð Detailed Design Experience: Experience in the production of detailed design packages, including Drawings, Specifications (CONCISE), Outline Installation Method Statements, CDM design risk assessments and Residual Risk Assessments, alongside supporting Quality, Operations and Maintenance documentation️ Technical Experience: Experience working with PES-based Control System/servo drive interfacesAdditional InformationWhilst we encourage applications from all nationalities, Assystem within the UK are subject to security and export control restrictions due to the nature of work to be undertaken.
