Site Engineer/ Surveyor

Site Engineer / Surveyor – Devonport Royal Dockyard Role overview: A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking a Site Engineer/Surveyor to join a major infrastructure project at Devonport Royal Dockyard, Plymouth. This is an opportunity to work on a nationally significant naval infrastructure programme within a secure, high-profile environment. Key responsibilities: * Carry out setting out, levelling, and surveying using Total Station and GPS equipment * Ensure works are constructed to design specification and within tolerance * Maintain accurate as-built records and site documentation * Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and the design team on technical matters * Support quality control and compliance with method statements * Ensure adherence to health, safety, and site security requirements (site access may require security clearance/vetting) Requirements: * Degree, HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience * Proven setting out/surveying experience on major infrastructure or civils projects * Proficiency with Leica/Trimble Total Stations, GPS, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D * CSCS card; SSSTS/SMSTS desirable * Eligibility to obtain security clearance (BPSS/SC), given the nature of the site * Full UK driving licence Location: Devonport Royal Dockyard, Plymouth (site-based)
