Maintenance Engineer

Role: Maintenance Engineer Type: Permanent Location: Redditch SRG are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Planning Engineer on a permanent basis, based in Redditch. As the Maintenance Planning Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining equipment performance, reducing downtime and ensuring maintenance activities are effectively planned, documented and executed. This role offers a blend of maintenance administration and hands-on mechanical engineering support. Key responsibilities: Managing maintenance schedules, documentation and records Coordinating spare parts sourcing and procurement Supporting preventative maintenance programmes Assisting with equipment troubleshooting and breakdown response Tracking maintenance metrics and producing performance reports Maintaining asset management systems and equipment records Developing operating procedures and maintenance instructions Working with internal teams and external service providers Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations Criteria: An engineering apprenticeship, HNC, HND or equivalent practical experience Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills Experience maintaining a variety of production equipment The ability to create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
