We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join a welcoming nursery setting in the Chelmsford area for an immediate start.
This is a full-time, temporary ongoing position with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
The RoleAs a Nursery Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading a nursery room team and creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children to learn and develop. You will play a key role in supporting children’s early development while ensuring the highest standards of care and education are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support staff within the nursery room
Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
Monitor and track children’s development and progress
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are followed at all times
Support the day-to-day running of the room and maintain a positive learning environment
Mentor and guide junior members of staff where requiredRequirements
Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or equivalent)
Previous experience working within a nursery setting
Experience leading or supporting within a nursery room
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures
Excellent communication and organisational skills
