Frontend Developer (Creative Developer)

Frontend Developer Hybrid with occasional onsite working in Hampshire (minimum of twice a month) Educational organisation PAYE up to £500 a day Inital contract to run until the end of July with extension highly likely I am looking for a Frontend Developer with strong experience working with Drupal, and a good understanding of PHP to support the development and continuous improvement of digital services. This role will play a key part in delivering robust, accessible and scalable applications, supporting a wide range of users across education, research and enterprise functions. Key responsibilities: • Build and maintain frontend solutions across various projects • Develop high quality, accessible interfaces using modern JavaScript, HTML and CSS, ensuring strong performance and usability • Work closely with product teams, project managers and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and deliverables • Contribute to the design and implementation of new services, from small enhancements to enterprise wide platforms • Ensure solutions integrate seamlessly across a complex and diverse IT estate • Automate processes to improve delivery speed, quality and long term maintainability • Ensure all solutions align with security policies and information management standards • Support applications through documentation, testing, training and third line support Key requirements: • Solid JavaScript skills with modern HTML and CSS • Strong experience working with Drupal, including theming and Twig • Good working knowledge of PHP • Experience delivering scalable, sustainable application solutions across a full lifecycle • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills • Experience within higher education, public sector or government environments is beneficial This is a great opportunity to work on meaningful digital services within a complex organisation, with real scope to influence innovation and long term platform improvement.
