Clinical Pharmacist (Locum) Hours: 28 hours per week (Monday to Thursday, 09:00 – 17:00) Band: Band 7 Equivalent Salary: £26ph PAYE or £35ph Umbrella Contract Type: Locum/Temporary We are currently seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join a leading private healthcare provider in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly regarded multidisciplinary team, delivering patient-centred clinical pharmacy services across a range of medical and surgical specialties. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting safe and effective medicines management, providing expert clinical advice, and contributing to the ongoing development of pharmacy services. Clinical Pharmacy Services Deliver a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service across designated wards. Urology Orthopaedic & Spinal Surgery Colorectal Surgery Plastics & Reconstructive Surgery Perform medicine optimisation on admission and discharge. Provide evidence-based medicine information and education to patients and healthcare professionals. Promote the safe, effective, and economical use of medicines. Participate in clinical audits and medicines management initiatives. Support the induction and development of pharmacists and pharmacy staff. Dispensary Support Validate prescriptions and ensure compliance with local policies and best practices. Provide clinical advice regarding medicines use. Undertake final accuracy checking of dispensed medicines. Participate in dispensary audits and quality improvement activities. Education & Training Support the training and development of pharmacy colleagues and wider healthcare professionals. Participate in annual appraisal and professional development processes. Minimum 2 years post-registration experience within a UK hospital pharmacy. Completion of comprehensive hospital pharmacy rotations. Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) . Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy Practice or equivalent experience. Strong knowledge of current medicines management practices and national guidance. Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD). IT literate with intermediate computer skills.
