General Builder

General Builder role covering Andover, paying £23 per hour + company van and fuel, with the opportunity to go permanent after 16 weeks on a salary of £36,000–£38,000. This is a fast-paced reactive repairs role working across occupied social housing properties. You'll need to have strong general building experience and be confident carrying out a variety of building and multi-trade repairs, managing a busy workload and dealing professionally with residents. I'd love to see CVs from anyone who has worked as a General Builder, Builder or Multi-Trade Operative. As a General Builder, you will be: Completing reactive building repairs across occupied social housing properties. Carrying out a variety of general building and maintenance works. Undertaking repairs to internal and external property features. Completing associated multi-trade repairs where required. Working across housing association properties. Managing a fast-paced workload and responding to changing priorities. Working professionally with tenants and minimising disruption. Completing jobs safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Keeping work areas clean and tidy. Completing relevant job sheets and paperwork.I'd love to speak to anyone who has: Strong general building experience. Previous experience working as a General Builder or in a similar maintenance role. Social housing experience is preferred, although similar domestic maintenance experience will be considered. Experience working in occupied properties. A background in reactive repairs and maintenance. The ability to carry out a variety of general building repairs. The ability to work quickly and independently. A professional and customer-focused approach. A full UK driving licence with 6 points or fewer. A DBS – if you don't currently have one, this can be arranged.
