GCP IAM / RBAC Engineer Contract | UK | Competitive Day Rate A leading organisation is seeking an experienced GCP IAM / RBAC Engineer to join its Data Platform team. This role sits at the intersection of cloud platform engineering, identity and access management, governance and security. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and improving access controls, governance frameworks and security practices across a large-scale Google Cloud environment. Responsibilities Design and implement IAM and RBAC controls across GCP Manage service accounts, permissions and access governance Support data governance, classification and access management initiatives Implement and maintain least-privilege access models Conduct access reviews and support audit requirements Work with engineering teams to improve platform security and governance Support vulnerability remediation and security controls Contribute to automation, monitoring and reporting processesRequired Skills Strong hands-on Google Cloud Platform experience BigQuery administration and governance IAM and RBAC implementation experience Service account management Access management and access governance Strong understanding of security best practices Experience working within enterprise cloud environmentsDesirable Skills Cloud Composer / Airflow Dataflow Pub/Sub Terraform Python Policy Tags Data Classification Fivetran dbt Vulnerability managementRole Breakdown IAM / RBAC / Access Management - 30% GCP Platform Engineering - 25% Data Governance & Classification - 20% Security & Vulnerability Management - 15% Automation & Reporting - 10
