- 6 (2 days / 2 nights) gap technical is proud to be representing a leading FMCG/food manufacturing business in its search for a Engineering Team Leader to join a modern production facility near North London.

Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the engineering team to ensure rapid response to equipment breakdowns, minimising production downtime and maintaining operational performance.

Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities, prioritising workloads and implementing corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.

Provide technical leadership in fault finding and root cause analysis, supporting engineers and operators with complex maintenance and continuous development.

Work collaboratively with production teams to maximise equipment uptime while ensuring all engineering activities comply with health & safety, quality, and operational standards.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, monitor engineering performance metrics, and support effective planning and resource allocation across the department.

Candidate Requirements Experience leading teams in a engineering function Previous experience within food, FMCG, or packaging manufacturing environments is highly desirable.

Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
