Senior Management Surveyor - Client Side

• Working pattern: 4 days in the office, 1 day from home

I am working with a highly regarded Central London landlord and occupier that is looking to appoint a Senior Management Surveyor into a newly created client side position.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced commercial Property Management professional who wants to move into a more strategic, commercially focused role while remaining close to the operational performance of a high quality Central London portfolio.

You will act as a senior Property Management lead across a portfolio of commercial buildings, taking ownership of service charge strategy, landlord and partner relationships, contractual governance, portfolio reporting and property related escalations. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Asset Management, Facilities and Operations, giving the role broader exposure than a traditional managing agent position.

The role

• Take ownership of Property Management strategy and performance across the portfolio
• Lead service charge budgeting, reconciliations, recoverability and commercial challenge
• Manage senior relationships with landlords, managing agents, asset managers, investors and property owners
• Oversee management agreements, leases, contractual obligations and property related compliance
• Work closely with Finance on forecasting, budgeting, reporting and variance analysis
• Lead portfolio reviews and provide reporting and recommendations to senior stakeholders
• Identify commercial opportunities, operational risks and areas for improvement
• Provide direction and development to an Assistant Property Manager

The position has genuine influence across the business, with responsibility extending beyond day to day management into commercial performance, governance, risk and wider portfolio strategy.

What we are looking for

You will ideally have significant experience within commercial Property Management, with exposure to multi let offices, flexible workspace, mixed use or hospitality led environments.

Strong service charge experience is essential, including budgeting, reconciliations, landlord service charge reviews and cost allocation.

You will also need to be commercially minded, financially confident and comfortable managing senior stakeholder relationships in a complex property environment.

Experience working with institutional investors, asset managers or management agreement partners would be particularly relevant.
