The Company
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Health, Safety and Environment Co-ordinator to join a growing fast paced food manufacturing business that offers variety, responsibility and career development.
The Role
As a Health, Safety & Environment Co-ordinator you will support the HSE Manager in ensuring that the organisation achieves best practise in protecting the health and safety of all persons affected by its undertakings and exceeds all legislative requirements. This will include but not be limited to internal H&S audits and ISO audits.
You will need to have strong interpersonal skills and be comfortable communicating and supporting the shop floor supervisors and managers, identifying and resolving H&S issues and promoting a culture of best practice.
This role is hybrid, four days on site and one day from home, 37 Hours per week (1 hour for lunch). Monday to Thursday 8.30 - 5, Friday 8.30 - 4.30.
A driving license and your own transport is a must for this role as it is a regional role and will involve travel to multiple sites within the business to walk round the site, engage, educate and drive conversations on all aspects of health, safety and environment.
You will need to be comfortable communicating, approving, inducting and monitoring contractors on site, as well as liaising with external bodies including suppliers and external audit bodies.
Part of the role will also involve input into the development and review of risk assessments and safe systems of work as well as carrying out Health and Safety inductions for new members of staff.
Candidate Requirements
· Clean, valid UK driver’s license with access to vehicle.
· Communication and ability to influence
· Knowledgeable in SHE regulatory affairs
· Qualified to NEBOSH certificate or equivalent
· Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001
· Member of IOSH, IEMA
· Assertiveness - Courage to take a stand where necessary

· Open and honest
· Organised and Punctual
· Ability to train and develop all teams in safety
· Ability to engage with stakeholders at different levels
