About the role

Contract Electrical Design Engineer | Reading | Outside IR35 | Defence Technology. Technify Talent is partnering with a leading security technology company based in Reading, Berkshire to hire a Contract Electrical Design Engineer to join their team on a 6 month initial contract. This is a hands-on design role with a strong focus on producing high-quality electrical drawings and design documentation for complex, mission-critical systems that help protect lives and reduce civilian threats. What you'll be doing: * Producing electrical schematics, drawings and design documentation using SolidWorks * Creating and maintaining electrical drawings throughout the engineering lifecycle * Supporting electrical system analysis, testing and verification activities * Working closely with mechanical, software and systems engineers to deliver integrated solutions * Supporting electrical design activities within a highly regulated engineering environment * Contributing to projects from concept through to testing, commissioning and delivery We're looking for engineers with experience in: * Electrical design and detailed electrical drawings * SolidWorks (or similar CAD packages) * Electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and design documentation * Electrical system analysis * BS7671 * Safety-critical or highly regulated industries such as Defence, Nuclear, Aerospace, Marine, Rail or Industrial Automation Reading (Hybrid) Initial 6-month contract Outside IR35 Immediate start available If you're an experienced Electrical Design Engineer who enjoys hands-on design work and producing high-quality electrical drawings, I'd love to hear from you.
