Draughtsman (Sheet Metal) £34,000 - £40,000 + 33 days holiday + benefits. Monday – Friday (8:00am – 4:30pm). Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire. A thriving business at the forefront of their engineering industry has an excellent opportunity for a Draughtsman to join their growing team. Designing and manufacturing a host of products, this business boasts a comprehensive, long standing market presence spanning across multiple decades. Role Description * Convert 2D Designs to 3D Designs using Autodesk Inventor and Solidworks. * Optimize designs for manufacturing, increasing efficiency, material utilization, and alignment with new production technologies. * Collaboration with the team to adapt designs for modern sheet metalworking processes. * Ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective, with an emphasis on modularity, optimizing material utilisation and improving production times. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date design documentation, including 3D models and technical drawings. Skills & Experience * 3+ years’ experience in Sheet Metal draughting. * AutoCAD (2D) / Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks. * Qualified in an engineering discipline (desirable but not essential). * Excellent problem-solving skills. * Strong attention to detail.
