About the RoleWe are recruiting an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure & Security team.This is a hands-on generalist role covering endpoint management, Microsoft 365, identity, networking and infrastructure support. You will administer a range of core infrastructure platforms and act as the first IT infrastructure escalation point for the Service Desk.Key responsibilitiesAdministering Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID, including Microsoft Teams and telephonyManaging patching and software deploymentSupporting Azure Virtual DesktopSupporting network switching, wireless and firewall infrastructureDiagnosing and resolving connectivity, performance and VPN issuesCarrying out routine network and firewall changesWorking closely with the Service Desk on escalated incidents, providing technical support and      knowledge transferTriaging infrastructure alerts and incidentsSupporting Windows Server and Active DirectoryMaintaining technical documentation and operational runbooksShift patternPlease note this role will operate on normal office hours (Mon-Fri 9am-5:30pm), and on call (evenings and weekends) 1 week in every 4.

About YouEssential ExperienceProven experience in an infrastructure engineering or advanced 2nd/3rd line roleStrong Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID administration experienceStrong networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and VPNs, with the ability to troubleshoot complex connectivity issuesExperience with enterprise switching and firewall platformsExperience supporting Windows desktop and server environments across on-premises and cloud-hosted infrastructurePractical PowerShell scripting experienceA structured troubleshooting approach and the ability to see issues through to resolutionA security-conscious approach to infrastructure administrationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDesirable experienceCisco CCNA and/or Fortinet NSE4/FCP certificationVMware vSphereExperience with enterprise security tooling and security best practicesAbout UsForward thinking and future focused, we champion social mobility, ethical governance, equality and diversity, creating an inclusive environment where everyone’s unique talents and experiences are valued.
