We're recruiting a Finance Lead to join a prestigious historic estate trust in Kent. This is a rare opportunity to combine strategic financial leadership with hands-on responsibility, helping to shape the future of a unique organisation with a rich heritage.

Working closely with the leadership team and Trustees, you'll take ownership of the finance function in a broad and varied role, with responsibility for both strategic planning and day-to-day financial management.

What you'll be doing

• Leading the finance function and acting as a trusted adviser to the leadership team and Trustees
• Producing monthly management accounts, budgets and financial reports
• Managing cashflow, forecasting and financial planning
• Preparing year-end accounts and coordinating the audit process
• Ensuring strong financial controls, governance and compliance
• Overseeing payroll, VAT and statutory reporting
• Supporting strategic decision-making with commercial financial insight
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting

What we're looking for
