Procurement Senior Business Partner – (Professional Services and IT) Procurement and Supply Chain · dedicated partnership with a leading UK insurer Location: City of London, 3 days a week, onsite + 1 day a month at the consultancy’s West End office Salary: £90k–£110k + benefits[SS1] Your mandate: Working with a UK based consultancy in partnership with a leading UK Insurer/reinsurer. You will be the senior commercial adviser across IT, Professional Services and wider spend. Lead critical deals, from DevOps platforms to outsourcing, and help build the tools, standards and ways of working that underpin the founding team and client partnership. What you’ll do: Lead commercially * Advise across spend areas, improving commercial value and service. * Lead and support critical cross-category sourcing initiatives. Lead the big deals * Engage business leaders early to turn complex requirements into sourcing strategies. * Lead high-spend, complex projects from inception to signature, including outsourcing agreements. * Mark up and restructure contracts, supported by the commercial legal team. * Optimise the supply base through demand management and spend aggregation. Develop suppliers and team standards * Build supplier relationship management with key partners to improve performance and innovation. * Manage third-party risk with Third Party Risk and the outsourcing delivery team. * Develop team templates, playbooks and quality standards for the offshore sourcing desk. * Support regulatory and compliance reporting for the COO. What you’ll bring * 8+ years’ strategic procurement or category management across several categories, ideally IT and Professional Services. * A track record of leading negotiations across a wide range of contract values. * Confident contracting skills and good working knowledge of commercial law. * Experience sourcing and contracting outsourcing arrangements. You’ll stand out with: * specialty insurance or financial services experience. * familiarity with regulators in more than one jurisdiction (for example FCA/PRA and BMA) * operating model design experience * experience in a small, highperforming procurement team.
