HGV Technician – Night Shift – Doncaster Location: Doncaster Job Type: Full-time, Ongoing Pay: £22.50 – £24.00 per hour Shift: Nights We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading vehicle logistics and automotive services company for an experienced HGV Technician to join their operation in Doncaster. Our client operates within the automotive and vehicle logistics sector, providing a range of services to major vehicle manufacturers, dealerships and automotive businesses. Due to continued demand, they are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their night-shift maintenance team. The Role As an HGV Technician, you will play an important role in keeping the company's commercial vehicle fleet safe, reliable and operational. Your responsibilities will include: * Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles * Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults * Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance * Carrying out MOT preparation and associated repairs where required * Using diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults * Ensuring vehicles are maintained to a high standard and remain roadworthy * Completing maintenance records and relevant documentation * Working safely and in line with company procedures and industry regulations * Supporting the wider workshop and operations team * Responding to vehicle defects and breakdown-related maintenance when required Shift Patterns & Pay 4 Nights Per Week 18:00 – 06:30 Monday – Friday Nights 18:00 – 03:00 About You The ideal candidate will be an experienced HGV Technician with a strong background in commercial vehicle maintenance. You should have: * Previous experience as an HGV / LGV Technician * Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge * Experience diagnosing and repairing HGVs or commercial vehicles * Good understanding of vehicle safety and roadworthiness * The ability to work independently and as part of a team * A professional and reliable approach * Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent are desirable Why Apply? * Excellent hourly rates up to £24.00 per hour * Choice of two night-shift patterns * Full-time, ongoing work * Weekly pay * Long-term opportunity * Work within a large-scale automotive operation * Recruitment agency support throughout your assignment * Opportunity to develop your career within the commercial vehicle sector If you are interested, please apply today
