Infrastructure Engineer – London, UK

A client is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their fast-growing, multi-strategy investment firm. Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure, you will play a key role in supporting, maintaining, and enhancing a global technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 2nd/3rd line support across hardware, software, and infrastructure platforms
Administer and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, M365/Entra, VMware, Azure, and Linux environments
Manage OS and software patching
Improve and automate infrastructure build processes and operational workflows
Drive standardisation and best practices across the technology estate
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner
Support a fast-paced, business-critical environment

Requirements

5+ years' experience in Infrastructure Engineering, ideally within financial services
Strong knowledge of:
Windows Server & Active Directory
Microsoft 365 / Entra ID
VMware
Azure
Enterprise Linux
PowerShell and/or Python
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with helpdesk/ticketing systems
Excellent communication skills
