Basildon | Polisher / Fettler We are seeking an experienced Polisher/Fettler to join our manufacturing team in Basildon. Salary💷 £14.06 per hour Hours Monday – Thursday: 7.00am - 16.00pm Friday - 7.30am to 12.30pm Benefits * Competitive salary * Company pension scheme * 25 days annual leave + 8 statutory holidays, Christmas shut down * Death in Service benefit * Long Service awards Purpose of role and key accountabilities: To carry out deburring/polishing of parts for the aerospace industry in a machine shop environment. * Removing burrs and sharp edges using files, scrapers and rotary tools * Grind/polish materials to drawing requirements using air/hand tools to achieve the required finish. * Light polishing of various steel and aluminum components. * Visual inspection of completed products. * Completing appropriate documentation. * Working to ISO 50001/14001/ 45001/9001 standards * As part of your role you will be asked to support the Energy team and consider energy reduction and savings within the scope of your role leading to continuous improvement. Core skills/attributes needed: * Ability to work from a list and take verbal instructions. * Ability to stand/sit for long periods and be physically fit to carry out role. * Ability to carry out repetitive work and must have an honest and motivated approach to work undertaken. * Must be able to work with minimal supervision. * Must be available to work overtime as and when required. * Must have excellent hand eye coordination. * Must be able to work with measuring/inspection equipment.
