Voids Supervisor / Voids Maintenance Manager Location: Southampton Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Sector: Social Housing / Property Maintenance Employment Type: Full-time About the Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Voids Supervisor to join a well-established and highly regarded maintenance contractor operating across the social housing sector. The organisation works closely with local authorities and housing associations, delivering high-quality property maintenance and refurbishment services across the region. As Voids Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of void property works, ensuring homes are returned to a high standard, on time and within budget, while maintaining excellent relationships with clients, residents and subcontractors. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate void property refurbishment and maintenance works from start to completion. Manage operatives and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard. Monitor programmes, productivity, quality and costs to ensure voids are delivered within agreed timescales. Carry out regular site inspections and quality checks. Identify and resolve issues that could impact programme or costs. Ensure works comply with relevant health & safety, quality and housing standards. Liaise with clients, housing officers, tenants and other stakeholders where required. Ensure properties are fully compliant and ready for handover. Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation. Support the wider management team in achieving contractual KPIs and customer satisfaction targets. About You The successful candidate will ideally have: Previous experience supervising voids, property refurbishment or social housing maintenance. Experience managing tradespeople, subcontractors and multiple properties/projects. A strong understanding of housing maintenance and refurbishment processes. Excellent organisational and communication skills. The ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines. A good understanding of health & safety and quality requirements. A proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail. Experience working with local authorities or housing associations would be highly advantageous. What's on Offer?
