Consultant Anaesthetist

Main Duties

• Provide anaesthetic services to support elective orthopaedics and spinal surgery.
• Deliver cutting‑edge anaesthetic techniques to enable same‑day discharge after knee and hip replacement surgery.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑operative assessment of patients.
• Provide high‑quality written information to patients' GP.
• Collaborate with consultants and the medical director to coordinate patient care.
• Contribute to the development of Clinical Quality Standards and participate in audit and clinical governance programmes.

Employment Conditions

Applicants must have current UK professional registration and be able to provide Disclosure and Barring Service checks under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
