Contract: 3-month rolling contract
Working pattern: Approximately 2 days per week on site
Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience
We Do Social Work Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Interim Project Manager – SEND Reform to join a high-profile SEND improvement and reform programme.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project professional with a strong understanding of SEND improvement and reform to play a key role in delivering transformational projects that will improve outcomes for children and young people aged 0–25.
The Role
As Interim Project Manager, you will play a central role in the delivery of SEND Reform projects, with a particular focus on implementing the Experts at Hand (EAH) Locality Delivery Model across education settings.
Working alongside a multi-agency SEND Reform Partnership, you will bring strong project management, coordination and stakeholder engagement skills to support the successful mobilisation and delivery of key reform priorities.
You will be responsible for:
Mobilising and delivering key SEND Reform projects.
Driving implementation of the Experts at Hand (EAH) Locality Delivery Model across education settings.
Developing and managing project plans, milestones, risks, dependencies and actions.
Providing effective governance and regular programme reporting.
Building strong and effective relationships with education settings, health partners, families, children and young people and wider SEND stakeholders.
Coordinating programme communications, evaluation and performance reporting.
Supporting recruitment activity linked to programme delivery.
Supporting commissioning, procurement and contract management activity.
Identifying and managing project risks and issues, ensuring timely escalation where required.
Working collaboratively across organisational and professional boundaries to ensure projects deliver their intended outcomes.
About You
We are looking for a confident, experienced and delivery-focused Project Manager who can quickly establish relationships, understand complex environments and provide structure and momentum to SEND reform projects.
You will have:
Proven project management experience, with relevant experience and/or qualification.
Experience of delivering SEND improvement or reform projects.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
Experience working across multiple agencies, services and professional groups.
Experience of project delivery involving recruitment, commissioning/procurement and contract management.
Strong skills in programme planning, risk management, governance and performance reporting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver at pace.
A collaborative, proactive and outcomes-focused approach.
