QA Engineer – FintechTo 60,000Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Java Developer to join our high profile client.Our client is a small fintech firm creating by one of the worlds best known personalities in fintech. They are known for solving one of the common problems in the retail financial space and in the current climate this is a unique product.Merchants in the ecosystem publish offers that reward consumers for making advance payments. Typically, the longer the consumer leaves the money with the merchant, the greater the reward – i.e. rewards have a time dimension like accruing interest, but functions as a discount, thus increasing the spending power of the consumer. Merchants can also increase consumer spending power by making additional discount coupons available to encourage spend at particular times and/or locations.Day to Day The QA Engineer will:Test within Agile scrum/kanban teamsPlan and execute testing around the product stories and bugsParticipate in sprint standups, demos, and retrospectivesCreate and maintain QA documentation: test plan, test scenarios, checklistsWork with Product and Support to determine the required level of quality for each product (reliability, usability, performance)Measure and record the quality so that we know when features are ready to be deployed to customersDefine and carry out a regression testing strategyStrive for automated testing while understanding when manual testing makes more senseWork with support investigating quality related customer complaintsWork with product to ensure product requirements cover qualityThis is a greenfield project working in conjunction with another team building a mobile application.The QA Engineer Must have:At least 2 years of software testingJavaYou are organized, pay attention to detail, and a great communicatorQuality inspection and testing experienceQuality planning, execution, and recording experienceRegression testing planning and executionStrong mobile and desktop user skillsKnowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QAKnow when to use different QA techniquesThe environment is that of Facebook or Google, relaxed open with time to think and make the right decisions.
