About the role
Our client, a formula one team within motorsport valley, is seeking a Part Marker to support its Operations and Quality team on a contract basis. The role involves accurately identifying high-value components using laser marking and other equipment, ensuring full traceability and compliance with engineering drawings and standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out manual and automated part identification using appropriate marking equipment, including laser systems
Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and standard operating procedures
Ensure component markings are legible, accurate and completed to the required standard
Maintain accurate component traceability in line with business and financial reporting requirements
Update the ERP system following completion of marking activities
Report any part-marking issues to the Team Leader, Finance or relevant inspection personnel
Work closely with inspectors and stores personnel to support efficient operations
Maintain high standards of housekeeping, health and safety and workplace compliance
Job Requirements:
Experience working in an engineering, automotive, manufacturing or motorsport environment
Experience with part marking, inspection or component identification
Understanding of laser marking processes; experience using a Keyence laser engraver would be advantageous
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications
High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
Good written and verbal communication skills
PC literacy, including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be beneficial
Reliable team player who can work accurately to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Contract Details:
This is a contract opportunity reporting to the Team Leader of Shift. Specific training will be provided on relevant systems and equipment.
