A leading large-scale food manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Production Manager to lead operations, inspire teams, and ensure smooth, efficient, and safe production across the site. This is a 6-month FTC to support the run up to Christmas! Please note that you’ll need to be flexible between AM and PM shifts Why Join? The Role As Production Manager, you’ll take ownership of your shift’s output — ensuring that products are manufactured on time, in the right quantity, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll be a key player in driving performance, motivating your team, and fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities * Lead and inspire the production team to deliver daily planned output with maximum efficiency. * Plan and allocate workloads to meet production schedules while upholding a strong safety-first culture. * Ensure compliance with all quality regulations and standards. * Drive people performance through clear communication, regular briefings, and effective coaching. * Identify root causes of production issues and implement lasting solutions. * Collaborate closely with other site functions to maintain smooth workflows. * Manage workforce planning, recruitment, training, and SOP sign-off. About You * Proven track record in leading production or operations teams within food manufacturing. * Strong organisational, decision-making, and leadership skills. * Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and inspire. * Knowledge of food production processes, safety compliance, and efficiency best practices. * Proficient in SAP or other ERP systems. * Familiarity with LEAN principles and problem-solving methodologies. * Fluent in English, both written and spoken
