Cover Supervisor in Doncaster

Job Title: Cover Supervisor Location: Doncaster Salary: £460 – £650 per week (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time Are you confident leading a classroom and supporting students to stay focused on their learning? GSL Education are seeking dependable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in schools across Doncaster. As a Cover Supervisor, you will take responsibility for delivering pre-set lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment during teacher absences. Main Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor: Supervise classes across a variety of subjects during teacher absences Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure learning objectives are met Maintain a calm, organised, and productive classroom environment Manage student behaviour in accordance with school policies Support students with their learning and encourage active participation Provide clear instructions and guidance throughout lessons Communicate any concerns or incidents to relevant members of staff Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for all learners Requirements of a Cover Supervisor: Experience working with young people is desirable Confidence in leading a classroom independently Strong communication and organisational skills Ability to follow lesson plans and school procedures effectively A flexible, professional, and proactive attitude A genuine passion for education and student success An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new application.
