Their approach sits somewhere between high-quality market research and strategic consultancy, helping pharmaceutical and healthcare clients translate insights into clear commercial direction, strategy and action.They’re now looking for a Research Manager who shares that mindset.The roleYou'll work across a varied portfolio of international healthcare and pharmaceutical research, with projects predominantly qualitative but with exposure to and an appreciation of quantitative research too.You'll take ownership of projects from initial set-up through to final delivery, including:Managing multiple healthcare research projectsBuilding strong relationships with clients throughout the project lifecycleModerating interviews and attending international fieldworkAnalysing research and identifying the real themes, insights and implicationsTurning complex findings into clear, engaging and actionable storiesProducing high-quality reports and presentationsPresenting findings and recommendations to clientsSupporting proposal development, costing and research designContributing ideas around methodologies and how projects could be approached differentlyWorking closely with senior colleagues on larger, more strategic programmesWhat they're looking forYou'll already have solid experience within healthcare/pharmaceutical market research, ideally from an agency or consultancy environment.You'll also need:Strong qualitative research experience and moderation skillsExperience working on international healthcare projectsExcellent project management and organisational skillsStrong analytical skills and the ability to recognise the important story within the researchConfidence communicating and presenting directly to clientsStrong report writing and storytelling skillsAn understanding of quantitative researchExperience contributing to proposals and research designThe confidence to manage projects independentlyA genuine interest in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industriesBut they're particularly interested in how you think.They're looking for someone intellectually curious who will challenge themselves, question the obvious and think about how the research can add greater value.Someone who doesn't want to simply execute a methodology because “that's how we've always done it”, but instead thinks about the business question first and considers the best way to answer it.Why join?This is a business doing extremely well in a challenging market, with strong levels of repeat business and continued demand from its clients.They're also investing heavily in what the next generation of market research looks like – expanding their capabilities across strategic consulting, quantitative research, advanced analytics and AI, while maintaining the belief that great research ultimately comes down to the quality of the people and thinking behind it.You'll join a team of bright, experienced researchers in an environment that is professional without being overly corporate.
