Morson Edge are currently supporting a leading national property and planning consultancy to recruit an RTPI-qualified Planner / Senior Planner to join their established Planning team in Bristol.This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing, collaborative team working on a diverse portfolio of major development schemes across the South West. The practice has a strong reputation for delivering strategic planning advice across regeneration, residential, mixed-use, commercial and infrastructure-led projects.The OpportunityWe are seeking an ambitious Planner or Senior Planner who is looking to take the next step in their consultancy career. This role offers genuine project ownership, client exposure, and the opportunity to work alongside experienced senior leaders on complex and high-profile developments.You will be embedded within project teams and act as a key point of contact for clients, contributing directly to the delivery of planning strategies from early feasibility through to consent and delivery stages.Role OverviewYou will play a central role in supporting and leading planning projects, working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues across planning, design and development teams.The role offers strong exposure to the full development lifecycle and the opportunity to build long-term client relationships while developing technical and commercial expertise.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and/or lead planning applications, appeals and site appraisalsPrepare high-quality planning reports, statements and supporting documentsAct as a key point of contact for clients and external stakeholdersWork collaboratively with internal and external multidisciplinary teamsContribute to planning strategies for a range of development typesSupport consultation processes and engagement with local authoritiesAssist senior team members on complex and strategic planning projectsBuild and maintain strong client relationshipsEssential Skills & ExperienceDegree in Town Planning or related disciplineRTPI qualified (or close to chartership for Planner level)Experience within a consultancy or local authority planning environmentStrong understanding of the UK planning system and policy frameworkExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload effectivelyClient-facing experience with good stakeholder engagement skillsDesirableExperience across residential, regeneration, mixed-use or infrastructure projectsExposure to planning committees or public consultation processesExperience supporting or leading planning applications in a consultancy settingWhat’s on OfferCompetitive salary dependent on experienceStrong career progression and professional development supportHybrid working modelOpportunity to work on high-profile regional and national developmentsCollaborative and supportive team environmentExposure to complex, design-led planning projectsIf you are an RTPI-qualified Planner or Senior Planner looking to progress your career within a leading consultancy environment, please apply with your CV for a confidential discussion.Market relatedCategoryConstruction EngineeringSector:Building, Construction and InfrastructureContract type PermanentConsultant:
