Operational Buyer – Permanent Role Location: Clevedon (Hybrid) Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum Company: BMR Solutions Ltd (on behalf of our client) BMR Solutions are recruiting an Operational Buyer for a leading engineering business in Clevedon. The role You will take ownership of a supplier portfolio, ensuring strong supplier performance across delivery, cost, and quality while supporting production continuity and supply chain efficiency. Key responsibilities * Raise and manage purchase orders across multiple systems * Act on MRP signals to expedite, defer, or cancel orders * Issue RFQs, analyse supplier quotations, and support new part set-up * Resolve supplier issues including delivery delays, quality concerns, and invoice queries * Prevent material shortages and support uninterrupted production * Identify cost-saving opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives * Work closely with Engineering on obsolescence, concessions, and change control * Support NPI, sourcing, and outsourcing activities About you * 2–3 years’ experience within procurement or buying * Strong negotiation and supplier management skills * Experience within manufacturing or engineering environments * Confident using MRP/ERP systems * CIPS Level 4 (or working towards) desirable * Proactive, organised, and able to work independently What’s on offer * Salary up to £40,000 per annum * Permanent position with long-term progression opportunities * Hybrid working arrangement * Opportunity to work within a cutting-edge engineering environment Benefits * Canteen * Company events * Discounted or free food * Free parking * On-site parking Work Location: Hybrid remote in Clevedon
