About the role

Infrastructure Technical Design Authority (TDA) Overview We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Technical Design Authority (TDA) to support several strategic infrastructure and cloud transformation initiatives within a large enterprise environment. This role will provide technical leadership across infrastructure, cloud, platform and security domains, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, secure and aligned with architectural standards. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, architects and stakeholders to define, review and govern technical designs across Azure, Microsoft technologies, virtualisation platforms and hybrid hosting environments.

Contract Length: Initial 6 months
Extension: Expected
Location: Belfast preferred, UK-wide candidates considered
Working Pattern: Primarily remote with occasional onsite meetings

Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership across multiple infrastructure projects.
Review, challenge and approve technical designs.
Produce and review High-Level Designs (HLDs).
Produce and review Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
Define and maintain infrastructure standards and roadmaps.
Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles.
Support cloud adoption and infrastructure modernisation initiatives.
Work closely with project teams, engineers and stakeholders to shape technical solutions.
Provide governance and technical assurance throughout project lifecycles.
Support design decisions across infrastructure, cloud, networking, security and hosting platforms.

Enterprise Infrastructure Engineering
Infrastructure Architecture or Technical Design Authority responsibilities
Infrastructure governance and technical assurance
Azure infrastructure and cloud solutions
Microsoft 365 technologies
VMware and virtualisation platforms
Hybrid cloud and hosting environments
Infrastructure modernisation and migration programmes
Producing and reviewing HLDs and LLDs
Working with senior technical and business stakeholders
Managing technical risk and solution approval processes
