Quantity Surveyor – Contract Administration

Manchester50,000-65,000 + PackageWe’re recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a growing specialist HVAC and mechanical contractor based in Manchester.This role will focus heavily on contract administration and commercial control, supporting projects from award through to final account.The RoleManage the commercial performance of HVAC and mechanical projectsAdminister contracts and ensure contractual obligations are metPrepare and submit valuations and applications for paymentManage variations, change control and commercial noticesReview subcontractor applications and accountsSupport procurement and subcontractor appointmentsMonitor budgets, cost plans and project marginsProduce forecasts and commercial reportsTrack contractual correspondence and key datesSupport claims, extensions of time and loss & expense where requiredLiaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and Project ManagersManage final accounts and project close-outThe CandidateExperience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, HVAC or M&EStrong understanding of contract administrationKnowledge of common forms of contract such as JCT / NECGood experience with valuations, variations and final accountsStrong commercial and contractual awarenessConfident dealing with clients and subcontractorsExcellent organisation and attention to detailQuantity Surveying or Commercial Management qualification preferredPackage50,000-70,000 basicPensionCompany benefitsOngoing professional developmentStrong career progressionExposure to a varied portfolio of HVAC and mechanical projectsThe OpportunityThis is a strong role for a QS who enjoys the contractual side of project delivery, not just cost reporting.You’ll have real ownership of contract administration, variations, notices, valuations and final accounts, with long-term progression into Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager.WR HVAC | M&E are the #1 recruitment partner for HVAC and M&E vacancies across the UK, Europe, and the USA.
