Residential Support Worker – Children’s Residential Care 📍 Greenwich, London 💷 £14.50–£15.00 per hour ⏰ 40 hours per week | Shift work The Role We are recruiting a Residential Support Worker to join a children’s residential home in Greenwich, supporting children and young people in a safe, nurturing environment. As a Residential Support Worker, you will provide practical, emotional and social support, helping young people develop confidence, independence and resilience. Key Responsibilities * Provide high-quality residential care and support. * Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people. * Build positive, trusting relationships. * Support education, appointments, activities and life skills. * Promote positive behaviour and independence. * Support daily routines, meals and household tasks. * Complete care records, reports and handovers. * Act as a Key Worker for allocated young people. * Work with families, social workers and other professionals. * Follow safeguarding procedures and care plans. About You * Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards one. * Experience supporting children and young people is desirable. * Experience with emotional/behavioural needs or behaviours that challenge is beneficial. * Strong communication and teamwork skills. * Reliable, caring and committed to providing high-quality children’s residential care. * Flexible to work evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.
