This one isn't.A multi-office accountancy and advisory firm with a strong presence across the South East is hiring an Outsourcing Senior Manager for its Guildford office. You would run your own portfolio of owner-managed businesses and SMEs, with the advisory side being the point of the job rather than an add-on. Management information clients actually use, proper conversations about what the numbers mean, and input on decisions before they are made rather than after.The roleYou will own a portfolio and deliver a full outsourced finance function, with advisory work sitting on top.- Running management accounts, forecasting, budgeting and reporting - Reviewing statutory reporting and compliance, including VAT and HMRC - Leading client meetings and talking business owners through what the numbers are telling them - Flagging risks and opportunities early enough for clients to act on them - Working alongside the tax, audit and payroll teams - Coaching your own team, and in some cases the client's finance staffWho they are looking forSomeone commercially minded who likes client contact and is comfortable sitting across the table from a business owner.- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or qualified by experience - Practice background, ideally in outsourcing or business services - Used to working with SMEs and owner-managed businesses - Confident presenting to senior stakeholders - Some experience managing or mentoring a teamUseful but not essential: exposure to scale-ups, growth businesses or turnarounds, or involvement in fundraising, M&A or exit planning.The package- 60,000 to 70,000 - 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell - Hybrid and flexible working - Enhanced family friendly policies - Pension scheme - Regular socials and a team that actually gets onWorth a look if you are a Manager or Senior Manager who has outgrown compliance work and wants a portfolio where the client relationship is the job.Happy to talk it through confidentially.
