CNC Machine Operative

CNC Machine Operator 📍 Brompton-on-Swale, Richmond, North Yorkshire 💼 Full-Time | Permanent 🏭 Manufacturing / Steel Fabrication About the Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join a busy and well-established steel manufacturing business based in Brompton-on-Swale. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of CNC machinery within the production facility, ensuring productivity, quality, and safety standards are maintained. Key Responsibilities * Operate CNC machinery efficiently and safely as part of a rotating production team * Complete and follow daily CNC processing checklists * Monitor machinery performance and identify maintenance requirements * Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase production efficiency * Liaise with equipment manufacturers and engineers regarding machine breakdowns and servicing * Work closely with the Works Manager, Supervisors, and wider production team * Assist with staff training where required Machinery Experience Preferred Experience operating any of the following machinery would be highly advantageous: * Voortman blast, saw, and drill lines * Kaltenbach Profitline fittings machinery * Peddinghaus saw/drill machinery Candidate Requirements Essential Skills & Attributes * Good communication skills * Ability to work independently and use initiative * Reliable and punctual * Well organised with the ability to prioritise workloads * Positive attitude towards training and development Desirable Experience * Previous experience within a steel fabrication or heavy engineering environment * Experience improving operational efficiencies and production processes * Training or mentoring of production staff Additional Information * Overtime and weekend working may be required to meet production demands * Ongoing training and development opportunities available * Reporting directly to the Works Manager
