About the role

You will take ownership of a portfolio of complex global accounts, leveraging strong broker relationships in the London Market while actively developing new business opportunities. You’ll work alongside recognised market experts, with real support to grow, innovate and lead.If you’re ready to make your mark and step into a senior, internationally focused underwriting role with genuine impact, we’d love to hear from you.  Some of the key areas of responsibility are as follows;  Receive, select and evaluate offers of business from various sources, calculate ratings and negotiate the bespoke wordings of the contractsGenerate and originate new offers and promote SCOR by pro-active marketing in accordance with the strategy and guidelines defined in the SCOR's  Roadmap  and relevant guidelinesMaintain and develop relationships with clients and brokers; travel as and when required to do soAttend broker and client hosted eventsRespond to all enquiries  in a timely mannerAssist the Global Line Head in the research, development and report on new areas of potential profitable growthMaintain accurate records of quotes, risks accepted and declinaturesControl and verify premium income according to business planAssist the Global Line Head to produce reports of various formats for reporting purposes as requiredContribute to the claims settlement process in conjunction with the claims departmentAttend market / client meetings to lead discussions on the restructuring of problem casesActively manage items on the Service Lines WatchlistMonitor and develop the Service lines PipelineMeet with Service lines reinsurers on a regular basis as requiredContribute to the division’s technical knowledge of sectors and sub-sectors in which the jobholder is workingMotivate, encourage and contribute to the training of the teamAttend SCOR’s Lloyd’s box to service brokers submissions and endorsements, and negotiate policy termsEnsure compliance with all relevant international licensing requirements for SCOR’s various officesRepresent SCOR on the LMA panel on an ad hoc basisOversee the submission of special acceptances to SCOR Underwriting Committee and Reinsurers for those deals which fall outside Underwriting Guidelines and pre-agreed reinsurance treaty terms Posting Date: 2026-04-27
